# Brand exploration - Olive system

A palette study around olive greens, soft contrast, and product interfaces that feel calm without becoming generic.

## Use this with an AI agent

Use this as context to evaluate or extend a calm product palette into implementation-ready design tokens.

Paste this file into Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, Codex, Gemini, or another AI agent before a design critique, implementation pass, content review, or product-planning session.

## What is included

- Palette rationale
- Semantic token prompts
- Accessibility and dark-mode checks

## Tools

- Figma
- Color systems
- Design tokens
- Interface direction

## Skills

- Palette design
- Brand systems
- Token thinking
- Visual consistency

## What this is

A color-system study built around olive, mint, deep green, cream, and quiet contrast. It is a way to test whether a product can feel distinctive without leaning on loud gradients or decoration.

## What it demonstrates

The palette explores hierarchy through temperature and value rather than spectacle. Dark greens carry structure, soft greens provide space, and cream tones keep the interface warm.

## Design notes

The swatches are intentionally close enough to feel related but different enough to support real UI states. That matters when colors need to become tokens, charts, borders, pills, and backgrounds.

## How it connects to product work

A palette is only useful if it survives implementation. This study connects visual taste to CSS variables, semantic tokens, light and dark modes, and repeatable interface decisions.

## What to look for

### Recruiter signal

Shows the bridge between visual direction and implementation: color choices are evaluated as product tokens, not only mood-board swatches.

### Useful output

A critique frame for checking whether a palette supports hierarchy, status, charts, dark mode, and repeated UI use.

### Next iteration

Convert the study into a token package branch with named roles, contrast notes, and generated CSS variables.
